Bill Wilford appointed General Manager of Agrico Canada

Montreal, QC, March 12, 2015 – On behalf of Agrico Canada L.P. and La Coop fédérée, it gives me great pleasure to announce the appointment of Mr. Bill Wilford as the new General Manager of Agrico, who will be taking up his new position on April 6, 2015.

Prior to joining Agrico, Bill has held several key positions within Cargill Canada. Notably, he was instrumental in developing and working closely with their crop input joint ventures across the country. He also managed Cargill’s retail business in the Southern Manitoba geography, which included responsibility for sales, operations, consulting and administration functions. For the past number of years, Bill has been the fertilizer Marketing Manager for Cargill, tasked with procuring and marketing fertilizer products for their retail network across Canada.

Mr. Wilford holds a Bachelor’s degree in Science of Agriculture from the University of Guelph. His successful track record and his extensive experience in the crop input sector are definite assets that will allow him to take on the challenges with which he has been entrusted. Bill has an extensive background in leading people, building business and delivering results; which will help us grow our Agrico business and lead it into the future.

Mr. Wilford, André Mercure and I will be working in close collaboration over the next few months in order to ensure a smooth transition. Please join me in wishing Bill great success in his new position!
